WELLNESS FAVES

I choose my wellness products with careful consideration and a deep sense of personal alignment. Each product I select is thoughtfully chosen based on its ability to cater to my specific needs and my goals for overall well-being.

Sustainability, ethical practices, and product effectiveness are also important factors that guide my selection process. These are products that are either tried and tested, or are on my list to try.

I share them, not necessarily to recommend, as we are all different, but merely to give my opinion and personal experience. I hope you give something a try and love it as much as I do!

Lamelle Serra Restore Cream

This light, non-oily cream is packed with ingredients that replace the lipid bilayer that makes up your skin barrier, restoring it while hydrating and soothing your skin. I find great relief from using this when my skin is feeling particularly dry, itchy or sensitive. It really is my ride-or-die daily cream. I think it would also be a good choice for post-retinol flakiness.

Lamelle Serra Restore Cream, R595 - The Beautique

CF Meet You Matte SPF40

This sunscreen comes in a cute and handy 20ml bottle. I pop it into my handbag so that there really is no excuse for me to not top up my SPF during the day. It’s fast-absorbing and lightweight, yet still ultra-moisturising.

CF Meet You Matte SPF40, R51.60 - CF Suncare

Exfoliating Toner

This is a multi-faceted toner that is a non-negotiable in my skincare routine. It is a gentle chemical exfoliator that promotes cellular turnover while also having a moisturising effect. It reduces trans-epidermal water loss, softens the skin, reduces pore size and acts as an astringent.

Exfoliating Toner, R369 - Mbiri

The Super Glo Hydro Boost Jelly Moisturiser

This lightweight jelly moisturiser contains a powerful combination of active ingredients for bright, super-hydrated skin. While it certainly is a divine daily moisturiser, my preference is to apply a thick layer at night as a mask. This jelly calms and reduces redness while plumping and smoothing, plus you'll be left with the perfect dewy glow!

The Super Glo Hydro Boost Jelly Moisturiser, R325 - Lumi Glo

Nourish and Restore Shampoo Bar

My hair is especially dry or frizzy during winter. I love a shampoo that will tame and hydrate it. This one from Damp restores moisture without weighing ones hair down. I like the compactness of a shampoo bar - especially when travelling. The eco-friendly properties are just an added bonus! The Nourish and Restore Bar has a delicious scent with hints of jasmine, cedarwood, grapefruit and coriander.

Nourish and Restore Shampoo Bar, R190 - Damp

Hyaluronic Acid 1%

Everyone needs a go-to HA serum. This 1% solution HA from Luamu is mine and I personally don't think you can get better quality at this price point. My skin is at its best when I regularly apply this morning and evening to slightly damp skin. (Top tip: mist your face with the Lumi Glo Face Mist before application)

Hyaluronic Acid 1%, R199 - Luamu

Beauty Oil Cleanser

When it comes to removing make up, an oil based cleanser would be my first choice to get the job done. This one is enriched with botanical extracts and antioxidants to brighten and revitalise your skin. It also contains tea tree and lavender essential oil, as well as argan oil. I have just received this and I can't wait to try it out. I have a feeling it will become a regular on the roster!

Beauty Oil Cleanser, R235 - Lotus Breath

Kiko Debloat and Gut Glow

This is an all natural vitamin, packed with calming anti-inflammatory ingredients and organic fruit enzymes that target every possible cause for bloating. I used to swear by the JS Health Detox and Debloat but, due to the fluctuation in exchange rate, the price became unjustifiable to me. I am excited to give this a go as it has rave reviews and it is a proudly South African product.

Kiko Debloat and Gut Glow, R480 - Summah

Will you be trying out any of my favourites?
