MY TOP SKINCARE PRODUCT PICKS

Epiphany hosts some beautiful local skincare brands and I have had the opportunity to test most of what they offer. It's made choosing my favourites easy and I am a die hard fan of a selection of the products from the brands listed.

So I decided to share the ones I actually use on the "reg" with you!

These are my top product picks for skincare from the directory. The best part is that many (not all) of these are available in mini trial versions that won't break the bank and will allow you to test them on your skin before committing to a full size product.

Beauty Oil Cleanser - Lotus Breath

I have become a huge advocate for a double face cleanse. It makes so much sense to me that in order for the properties in your face wash to actually do their job your skin should be washed twice. The first wash removes make up and excess dirt, and the second does a deep clean. I have loved using the Beauty Oil Cleanser for the first cleanse. Enriched with Tea Tree and Lavender Essential Oil as well as Argan Oil it easily removes any make-up or dirt from the day without clogging my pores.

I follow this up with the Mbiri Cream Cleanser.

Exfoliating Toner - Mbiri

I absolutely love the fresh face feeling I get after I spritz on the Mbiri Exfoliationg Toner. With salicylic acid and marula Kalahari melon seed Namibian Myrrh this product not only gently exfoliates for a clearer complexion, but also moisturises your skin so that it is not stripped entirely by the exfoliant.

Toner seems to be outdated in that it is not really prescribed by beauticians as much as it was. However, this toner spritz is not the same as the traditional product that we wiped over our face in the hopes that it would tighten our pores. The Mbiri Exfoliating Toner is so much more. It is a gentle chemical exfoliator that promotes cellular turnover while also having a moisturising effect. It reduces trans-epidermal water loss, softens the skin, reduces pore size and acts as an astringent. It also improves skin barrier function while supporting acne-prone skin.

The overall look and feel of my skin has been better for it!

1% Hyaluronic Acid Serum - Luamu

Who wouldn't want hydrated, dewy, soft skin? There is a reason why there is so much hype around Hyaluronic Acid. This multi tasking serum plumps and hydrates skin by retaining water. The result is reduced appearance of fine lines and other signs of aging. Not only is it a marvel on its own, but it also enhances the penetration of other products in your routine. Best applied straight after cleansing and toning when your skin is still damp and before you add any other skin savers.

The Luamu Hyaluronic Acid has been a favourite of mine since I first tried it a couple of years ago. It does the job beautifully and at an amazing price point. Suitable for all skin types this happy hydrator should form part of everybody's skincare routine.

Vita-C Lipid from Lamelle - The Beautique

Adding a Vitamin C Lipid to your skincare line up is the perfect way to add an easily tolerated yet powerful antioxidant (vitamin c + ascorbic acid). The lipid-soluble vitamin c serum from Lamelle leaves a luxurious feeling whilst brightening, smoothing, hydrating and protecting all skin types. It's a great addition for first time or advanced vitamin c users. I use mine at night after applying my HA serum to assist with signs of aging and to get a radiant complexion. The fact that it stimulates collagen production whilst evening out skin tone makes it an essential part of my routine!

The Super Glo Hydro Boost Jelly Moisturiser

I once wrote that the difference between a plum and a prune is hydration. It makes complete sense that the more moisturised and hydrated your skin is, the smoother and younger it will appear.

This Lumi Glo moisturiser doesn't feel oily or heavy on the skin, but that powerful combo of active ingredients for bright, mega-hydrated skin calms and reduces redness, while plumping for a gorgeous smooth look. This lightweight jelly supports a healthy skin barrier while hydrating deep into the skin, giving the perfect dewy glow. I am loving the Lumi Glo moisturiser for its beautiful fresh scent along with its amazing hydrating properties, which leave my skin feeling soft, supple and smoother.

Meet you Matte or Glow Sunscreen - CF Suncare

The last , but one of the most important steps in my daily skincare regime is the application of sun care. I like to use either the MEET YOU MATTE SPF 40 straight after my moisturiser as sun protection and make up primer, or the GLOW SUNSCREEN as a slightly tinted option and minimal make up look.

Both of these options are fast-absorbing and lightweight, but with wonderfully moisturising results.

The Meet You Matte is my favourite as I always prefer a matte look and feel.

The Glow Sunscreen has a sheer liquid texture that gives your skin a healthy dose of pearlescence with no visible glitz or glitter. The result is a beautiful dewy glow that's lovely for days that don't require a full face of make up!

This is the run down on my simple everyday skincare. Have any questions? Pop me a DM or post them in the comment section below.

All my love,
