The 'Meet The Founders' series introduces you to the faces behind our favourite brands. We believe that knowing the story behind the owner of a small business helps to build trust and provide insight into where values might be aligned. We want to instill, in the consumer, the level of confidence we have for our Epiphany listed brands and their owners. Above all, we are passionate about the authenticity present in all these wonderful local brands and that is why we want to share it with you.
Teaching children has always been Catherine's passion but after 10 years in the classroom she decided she needed a change and she found a different kind of creative outlet. As a mom of two girls she also wanted to find something flexible to make the juggle between mom and working mom manageable.
It was on holiday at their family home in Palmar, Mauritius where she started dreaming. Their dining table has always been the heart of the home, both growing up and now that she has her own family. Bringing people together, celebrating life and any occasion. Her mom had always found it hard to find tablecloths to fit their big table and she discovered a gap in the market. At 7 months pregnant , Catherine launched Palmar Collection!
"My vision for Palmar Collection is to make beautiful table linen affordable, so that you are encouraged to sit around your table, to share food and conversation, bringing a sense of togetherness."
We love seeing Cath's dream come to life as she honours Palmar, Mauritius - a very special place that her family holds close to their hearts.
