the rare collective
The Rare Collective was founded by Melissa, a creative with a wild imagination for new designs.
Her vision is to make beautiful jewellery that makes a statement in the most subtle way possible.
She loves tastefully designed creations that hold their rarity and detail. Melissa makes each of her pieces by hand which by its very nature results in no two pairs ever being 100% the same.
Your unique selection is one of a kind with the smallest blemishes only adding to it's beauty.
Welcome to the Rare Collective.
WHY I LOVE THEM
I worked with Erin from Lark Creative for a long time and was very sad when she ended her journey with polymer clay. Her creations were always exciting and bold.
Only a week or so later, Melissa, a friend from varsity got in touch with me about her exciting venture.
The world works in such mysterious ways.
I was delighted to find The Rare Collective's collection of modern studs made from beautiful polymer clay.
Very different to the statement designs that Erin so lovingly made, but so unique, simple and subtle which are things I love in fashion and design.
Mel's colour choices are right up my ally. The neutral tones and smaller pieces fit well with my style and that of the directory. Contemporary and cute, I think this is one you are going to love!
THIS MONTHS CURATIONS
COWRIE SHELL HUGGIES
A departure from The Rare Collective's usual style of polymer clay accessories, these Cowrie Shell Huggies are here just in time for summer!
They feature 18k gold plating and an easy-to-use clasp closure.
They are going to be exclusively available at the next Epiphany Pop Up Shop at Adele Catherine from 16 December. However, for those who aren't based in KZN or would like to order online instead, just pop Melissa a DM on Instagram.
SEA SHELL HUGGIES
ON MY WISHLIST
If cowrie shells are not quite your thing, perhaps The Sea Shell Huggies will get your attention instead.
These have a more pointed silhouette but, in all honesty, they are pretty similar to me. Equally as charming and extremely difficult to pick one over the other!
As above, these are also available exclusively at The Epiphany Pop Up Shop or through DM.
Whichever you choose (I'm leaning towards both), you are guaranteed a fun and cute summer accessory that could also be worn throughout the year.
