After close to 5 years in the making, Plaiin has finally become a reality for founder Megan. Inspired by the zero-waste movement, after she first came across Bea Johnson, Megan worked at creating a fully plastic-free beauty brand.
Every product is hand formulated with all-natural and vegan ingredients. Plaiin follows the philosophy of 'skin food' rather than 'skincare.' If you can't eat it, your skin shouldn't either. Because all of the ingredients are food-grade, technically each scrub is edible! Every product she creates is safe and nourishing for your skin.
Megan is very proud that their brand is made as Zero-waste as possible. Plaiin strives to be plastic-free in all aspects of their process, down to the equipment they use.
In an effort to change the world of beauty brands, they are dedicated to finding solutions to plastic packaging. That's why they worked at creating a recipe that can be a hand-held, stand-alone product without the necessity of plastic. That being said, these beautiful bars do need to be protected somehow and so each solid body scrub comes packaged in an organic cotton draw string pouch.
Plaiin even ships their products plastic free! Plaiin products are bundled in a cardboard box with packing paper or post-packaging paper where possible, which you can easily recycle. Megan takes pride in knowing that Plaiin parcels do not contribute any plastic waste to our Earth.
WHY I LOVE THEM
Megan contacted me and I was thrilled to discover this beautiful "skin food" range. Not only is everything absolutely beautifully and consciously made, but it was also on Twyg Magazines list to try with rave reviews.
After meeting Megan online I began following the Plaiin Instagram account. Encouraging self care, creating awareness around conscious consumerism and supporting local charities are just some of the things that this brand prioritises.
With Plaiin's ethos aligning so effortlessly with my own, it was a match made in heaven. Now for the fun part, the delicious products and their delightful ingredients.
